Support Physical Therapy

The Brenau University Physical Therapy program is proud to maintain a strong service profile that is grounded in a deep sense of community. Students continually build their clinical expertise while also giving back.

Thank you for supporting our program and the initiatives that empower our students to learn, serve, and grow as compassionate healthcare leaders.

ImpacTiger Clinic: The pro-bono physical therapy clinic

Our pro-bono physical therapy clinic is a student-led initiative that provides essential rehabilitation services primarily to uninsured and underinsured members of the community. Operated by physical therapy students under licensed supervision, the clinic offers direct access care, allowing patients to receive treatment without an immediate physician referral. Its mission is to bridge healthcare gaps by delivering high-quality, compassionate care to those who might otherwise go without. Through this hands-on experience, students gain valuable clinical skills while making a meaningful impact on public health.

Farmworker Family Health Program Service Trip

The Farmworker Family Health Program (FWFHP) is an interdisciplinary, interuniversity health program that provides health care services for migrant farm workers and their children. In June of every year, 3rd year Brenau University physical therapy students and sponsoring faculty travel to the Moultrie, Georgia area to provide the physical therapy services to the migrant workers and their children. In the mornings the physical therapy students under faculty supervision assess elementary and middle school children for fine and gross motor development. In the evenings, the team travels to the local farms to provide physical therapy for the farmworkers. Brenau DPT students raise the money to cover their expenses in order to attend this trip, so thank you for considering donating to this project!

Alumni Engagement

Brenau University’s Department of Physical Therapy stands alone in the fact that the professors and staff ensure that you do not lose contact post graduation. Whether you’re prepping for the licensure exam post graduation or beginning your career in your first job, our professors stay in contact with you and offer constant guidance and support as you journey into this next chapter of life as a new clinician. Personally I’ve had the pleasure of reaching out to my former professors for educational assistance regarding higher complex patients or just simply needing advice regarding ideas to boost my professional resume as a new graduate. Our Brenau team has never failed to be there when needed. It’s important to know that as a recent graduate, I am just as valued as a first year student by the department’s staff. Brenau brings a new and firm meaning to the motto of family.
